Dean Acoustic Electric Bass Guitars
What's the best electric guitar I can get for under $500?
I play a wide variety of music, from thrash metal to funk to clean melodies to ska.
I currently have a Squier Stratocaster with EMG single coils, an ESP EX-50 with ESP hums, a Takamine acoustic-electric, and a Dean bass.
My ESP is starting to die. Its tuning pegs aren't holding tension well, its pickups sound worse than new, one fret has popped out a bit. It's not playing as well as it used to.
I'm looking for a less "metal" looking guitar that costs less than $500 USD new or slightly used.
Here are the requirements:
-under $500
-solid-body electric, preferable Strat or Les Paul shape
-thin neck, no material preference for neck
-no preference on body as long as it's not plywood
-2 humbucking pickups, a single coil in the middle would be nice but not needed
-volume and tone controls on the body
-minimum 21 frets, 24.75" scale is prefered

Hello there,
An Epiphone Les Paul gets most of that. The neck is not thin however and there is no single coil mid pickup. The Les Paul does hit tihe rest of the list.

Ibanez and Jackson both have H/S/H models but those have 25 1/2 in scale necks. Also here is a PRS that caught my eye this evening. 25 inch scale. 2 humbuckers.
